Applicants are required to first visit the website of the agency's file catalog (https://near.archives.gov.tw/) to search for relevant file inventories. If no files are found, they should request assistance from the relevant handling unit. Once the file inventory is found, the applicant should fill out an application form and submit it to the present office for review. The receiving unit will examine the data to ensure its accuracy and compliance with regulations. The reviewing unit will prepare a review notification and, if necessary, seek opinions from the business unit involved in the file. The review results will be communicated within fifteen working days. If the application does not meet the requirements, it will be returned to the applicant for correction within seven days. Applicants should access the files on the agreed-upon date with the review notification, review form, and identification documents. After confirming the accuracy of the file quantity, the applicant must sign the file receipt form and use the files according to regulations. Once the file viewing or copying is completed, the files should be returned and archived. After inventory verification, the applicant is required to pay the fees.
