Why is drug abuse harmful?

There may be thousands of answers to this question, but the most genuine one comes from the perspective of someone who has experienced it firsthand. A former drug offender once said, "After taking drugs, the only goal left in life is to figure out how to find the next 'fix'!"

This answer should deeply alert us because the addiction caused by drug abuse, whether it's through substance abuse or drug addiction, exerts a grip on individuals that surpasses our imagination. Once someone falls into the trap of addiction, they will struggle between the desire to use "just this one time" and the urge for the next fix, sacrificing their relationships, family, education, career, and every opportunity to achieve their dreams.
