On May 23, our prison held a cultural and recreational activity "Essay Contest - Your noble people are all around you" in large and small classrooms. A total of 13 inmates participated enthusiastically. The theme of this essay contest focuses on guiding inmates to review the noble people who have helped and cared for them in their life course, and to enhance self-awareness and gratitude through writing and expressing emotions. The activity aims to encourage inmates to actively participate in social and cultural activities, promote spiritual growth and interpersonal interaction. Participants all carefully conceived, told their personal experiences through words, and showed deep emotions and reflections. During the competition, everyone was fully focused and full of fighting spirit, which not only improved their expression skills. Through this activity, it helps to relieve the emotional stress of prisoners during their sentences, reduce loneliness, and add warmth and positive energy to their lives. In the future, the prison will continue to organize diversified cultural and recreational activities in order to create a warmer and more positive correctional environment.

On May 16, the prison held a Frisbee Throwing Competition, with a total of 32 inmates enthusiastically participating. The activity aims to encourage inmates to actively participate in social activities to relieve loneliness and stress during their sentences. The competition was conducted by throwing and scoring. The contestants were fully focused and showed excellent coordination and concentration. The atmosphere was warm, full of vitality and fun. In the end, the kitchen stood out and won the championship, and the activity ended successfully.

In order to allow inmates to reunite with their families, the prison held a special face-to-face reunion event for inmates on May 8, 2025, to allow inmates to reconnect with their families, convey blessings and gratitude, and combine anti-fraud propaganda and invite Keelung City Drug Harm Center to conduct anti-drug propaganda to improve family members' knowledge of fraud and drug prevention. A total of 48 inmates and 84 family members participated.

In order to allow inmates to express their longing for their families on the eve of Mother's Day, hoping to receive support, encouragement and care from their families and regain the strength of life, the prison has added 32 free telephone lines with the assistance of Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. Keelung Operations Office, and jointly held the "2025 Mother's Day Telephone Reunion for Inmates" on May 7, 2025. A total of 248 inmates participated.

In order to promote the public's understanding and support for the inmates' reform and rehabilitation, our prison is hosting the "Keelung Prison Arts and Culture Education Achievement Exhibition" at the Keelung City Hall Arts and Culture Corridor. The exhibition will run from April 1 to 30, 2025, and will display 33 works created by students in our prison's art therapy class over the years. The purpose of holding this exhibition is not only to provide inmates with a stage to show themselves and express their emotions, but also to allow the public to see their efforts and achievements in prison through the display of artworks. It is hoped that through the power of art, stereotypes can be broken, and the public can be encouraged to re-recognize inmates and give them more understanding and support.

In order to encourage inmates to actively participate in artistic and cultural creation, cultivate self-confidence, and enhance their mental health and self-expression ability, the prison held a Mother's Day card design competition on April 18, with a total of 25 inmates participating. The scoring of this competition adopts a dual selection method from the government and the public. All 25 contestants were fully engaged, fully demonstrating their artistic creativity and aesthetic qualities, making the entire competition filled with a warm and touching atmosphere. Finally, the top three and two excellent works were selected as rewards, bringing the event to a successful conclusion.

On March 13, our prison held a team basketball recreational competition at the Activity Center. A total of 51 inmates participated in the competition. The purpose was to encourage inmates to actively participate in social activities and cultivate sociable and enterprising concepts. The game was conducted in the form of team shooting. The 51 participating inmates were fully engaged, demonstrating excellent teamwork and coordination skills, making the entire game full of fun and vitality. In the end, the Xiaoshe team won and the event ended successfully.

1. On the 10th, a life education promotion activity was held at the activity center. Teachers Chen Shulan and Li Yuanjue were invited to give lectures. A total of 70 inmates participated. Through music and encouragement, we help inmates relieve negative emotions, establish a "stop loss point", and return to normal life. 2. A nutrition lecture was held at the activity center on the 11th, and nutritionists Xie Yiling and Zhou Qi from the Keelung Nutrition and Health Center were invited to give lectures. A total of 75 inmates participated. Learn about aging through mini games and convey the concept of healthy eating. 3. On the 17th, a financial promotion lecture was held in large and small classrooms. Mr. Lin Kunhuang, the deputy general manager of Yixin, was hired to give a lecture to learn about the latest fraud methods and financial knowledge. A total of 30 inmates participated. 4. On the 26th, a chess-military flag competition was held in large and small classrooms. Through interesting competitions, the inmates’ patience and concentration were cultivated and their loneliness was alleviated. A total of 28 inmates participated.

The prison held a Spring Festival decoration competition in the Lunar Year of the Snake. The inmates used their creativity to create New Year's Eve works for the Year of the Snake, helping those inmates who were unable to return home to reunite with their families to ease their homesickness. On January 20, 2025, the team was led by the secretary, and the secretary and department heads served as judges. After scoring, Aishe won the championship.

In order to reunite the inmates with their families, our prison held a special face-to-face reunion event for the inmates on January 17, 2025. This allowed the inmates to rebuild their family ties and express their blessings and gratitude. We also combined anti-fraud awareness and invited the Keelung City Drug Hazard Center to conduct anti-drug awareness to enhance family members' knowledge of fraud identification and drug prevention. A total of 50 inmates and 88 family members attended.
